Default Looks like I am going to need a vacuum pump, any suggestions/leads?

The new (to me) engine I just put in my vette was built with low tension oil rings, and is eating oil badly, so for now I am assuming adding a vacuum pump will be the solution. Other things will wait until I see if that's it.

So, that in mind, anyone know of a good solution/product for the C5?
Preferably electric?

Like I said, any leads or suggestions in that direction would be appreciated.

TIA!

From the research I have done the electric ones won't pull enough vacuum to seat your rings. Basically all they are good for is helping power brakes and even then they burn up pretty quick because they get oil in them.
A guy named Charlie at RPM motors I believe makes one that fits with A/C but the only place I can find to buy it is from Alex at CMS performance and I have been trying to buy one myself but so far my dealings with him are less than par as far as communication goes.

Yeah I been looking at that one. I sent them an email to the address listed on a web page and got an undeliverable error back. Like I said, would rather go electric, but that may be the way to go. Thanks.
