Manual Transmission - mcleod twin disk???

i had planned on a spec twin disk but i keep heairng horrible things about it only having 1/2 an inch of modulation (between initial engagement and 100%)...i'm 6'2" so i don't want to have to suck my knee up into my mouth to modulate the clutch all the way at the top of the pedal motion in heavy traffic - thanx, but no thanx.

then i heard about this new twin disk from mcleod and i've looked everywhere to try and find how much it can hold - i've tried every vendor i can get a hold of and thier website - no dice.

anybody know??? i'm planning on about 900rwhp so the spec twin was right up my alley

Most twins I've seen release just that way. I prefer it though really.
an adjustable master can really help take the freeplay out of the pedal though. if thats what you need/ are looking for.

either way, i'm just interested in how much power they can hold....most people say that the spec's hold really well, i'd like to see for comparrison's sake

unless you plan on making over 1000hp dont worry about the mcleod twin breaking

I've got a chance to pick up a P trim Spec twin disc with 500 miles on it for $800 from a reputable guy, but you guys have me thinking on the mc cloud.

I like the Mcleod because of the pressure plate design. It is multi-coil sprung instead of a single diaphram spring.

i just bought a used mcleod, from what ive read i think its 1700hp that they are rated at. i might be wrong but i thinks thats what i read on summits website.
