Default head bolts/studs

at what point when n/a are the stock heads bolts not good enough? do i need them for my 383 build with 11.2:1 scr and 8.8:1 dcr?

I'd go with them... known too many friends who have snapped stock head bolts off in the block. Go with the ARP bolts for insurance.

ARP head bolts - 139.65 shipped from Speedinc. they usually keep these in stock so they'll ship out same day.

ok thanks. the guy that is going to bore my block said if i was going to run the arp bolts or studs that i need to bring them with the block to torque the deck plate. because i guess the arp stuff can tweak the block more than the stock bolts because they more clamp force. oh and does 300-350 sound right for a bore and hone job with ls1 deck plate? going .007 for my 383 kit.
