Default Need Opinions Quick!

Ok so at 1:30 today I am getting my windows tinted. All the way around. Now the guys at the shop told me the cops around here are pretty cool about the windows being 15% all the way around and I wont get in trouble. But from what I hear 15% isn't all that dark. They have 20% 15% or 5%. If I get 5% im pretty sure ill get pulled over...but what do you guys think? I have a red firebird if that helps any.

Thanks in advance

All around, do you mean the front window also, or just a brow or what? I have a 99 Z28 thats dark blue right now, and i have 15% on my back and two side windows, and then a brow thats 15% also, and i think that it is plenty dark, during the day when the sun in bright and out, you can see kind of through the windows, but once there is shade or anything, you cannot see in the car, at night time with it its a little dark, but when i had 5% i couldnt see a thing, it was to dark, i love the 15%

Yeah, i mean if your standing pretty close to it, and the sun is beating down on it, i can see in the car, like you'll be able to see shapes and things, but if your from a distance or an angle, you will not really be able to see inside at all, and at night time with the 15% your set, its plenty dark, 5% is really to much, the guy that did my tint, recommended not doing 5% because its to dark, cool looking and good in the day, but night and dark time, you'll regret it, 15% is honestly the way to go, i am very happy with it, if you want, i can send you some pictures if you would like...

I have had 5% on all my vehicles because it looks so damn good from the outside. I have never been pulled over here in Georgia because of it. I have even been pulled over for speeding once and running a redlight once and it was never mentioned. I also like the fact that 5% protects my interior from the sun.

On the other hand, it is very dark at night. I have to stick my head out the window to back up.

I have a red TA and I had 5% on it and it was to dark for me, Looked good but hard to see backing up etc. I went to 20% and I like it better. Where I live you have to sign a waiver saying the tinting company is not held liable for them tinting at 5%. Some cops here will pull you over because of 5%.

We can't have anything darker than 32% in Alabama..

Think of the percent as.. How much light gets through..

5% is daarrrkk...

Just out of curiosity, how far down you going on the brow? And i think you made a smart choice on doing 15% i think you'll be happy with it.

Yea I love the 15%. But the place has such a good rep so I was a little disappointed when I found a little patch of bubbles on my driver side window. They said allow 2-4 days for everything to clear up so if I doesnt im going to take it back and have them fix it..
