Default 02 sensors!

Is there a special way to take out 02 sensors. What kind of wrench can be used to fit around the wiring.

I have a special purpose deep socket that has a
slot for the wires. But it's really only good after
the sensor has been broken loose, you still need
an open-end wrench (or cut the wires off if the
sensor is to be discarded anyway). I wouldn't buy
the "special socket" again myself, because it's not
tough enough to do the job on its own.

I am just afraid that the open ended wrench will strip easily, where can I get that deep socket to break it loose.

7/8 it is....wouldn't hurt to spray a little Blaster or something and let it sit for a minute. Had no trouble getting mine off

7/8" wrench, but a couple of mine wouldn't budge even when I put the old cat in a bench vise and pounded the wrench with a hammer. I got some new ones and put some anti-seize on the threads.

If your not going to use the sensor after removing it and its really stuck you can heat the bung with a propane torch , that and a good 7/8 wrench with a light tap with hammer works for me. I would deffinantly not due this with a sensor I was going to reuse!!!!!
