Problem with my new PI Vig 3600 stall..,. Just got it in last night...a Precision Industries Vigilante 3600 lockup converter...
No leaks...
No noises...
No shifting issues...
The "problem" I had, was on the way home, I decided to do a little "practice launch" to try out both the new drag radials, and the new converter...
well....
I forgot that my old converter was laying in a box behind the back seat, and when I took off, very quickly I might add, the old converter headed rearward at a high rate of speed and took out the little felt covered door that flips up and separates the t-top holding valley from the rest of the car...LMAO!!!
Poor door didn't have a chance...
Headed to tuner soon for some WOT shifting tweaks and then to the track...finally.

well i hope you placed the old converter over the right rear tire for the extra weight to aid in traction with the new converter? this should have been in the new instructions with your new converter? i put my old converter there right over the back tire & have had no issues like your talking about,my old converter is still there! 
lol, i did the same thing in my 69 chevelle when i swapped heads, i drove home & forgot i put them in the trunk & put 2 dents in the 1/4 panel when i got on it,
