Default What do you consider the best intake/TB for the money

I currently have a stock intake with a dynotune plate kit. Thinking of going with a new system. With so many out there I was wondering what the board perfers. I plan on doing the TB as well so size does not matter. I would like opinions on Weiland, LS6, Texas Speed, etc... I will not consider a FAST. Not enough gains for the money with my current stock motor. Looking to come in around $600

Def port your stock one and get an ls6 intake. That is the best bang for the buck

I have a local guy here that ports for cheap. I can get a polished Weiland or the likes for the same money as an LS6. Is that my best option.

You can port your tb for free, and pick up an ls6 intake out of the parts for sale section for close to $300. Saving you another $300 for another modification. And as far as difference in performance of the weiland and ls6, i doubt there is one, maybe 5 hp. We'll have to wait for someone else to chime in and touch base on that. But the main difference i see would be the bling.

Best bang for buck, stock ported TB and an LS6 intake.

Best over all with cost not an issue, FAST 90 with a NW TB or a sheet metal intake.

IMO, You should maybe think about a Professional Products Typhoon Intake and either a ported stock TB or one of thier matching TB's. They're cheaper than most aftermarket intakes, and they include everything, including soem good-looking fuel rails.

I didn't save it on my favorites. But it's a guy on here who's signature has a link to porting your own throttle body. Let me do some research on here and see if i find it. It's quite easy. If i can't find it i'll write up my own little step by step for you. Just give me a while to do some research i should be back on here in an hour or so.

But wouldn't an aluminum intake manifold have a problem with heat soak? I would honestly prefer a ported throttlebody and the LS6 over the Lingenfelter intake. Don't get me wrong it looks real nice, and the BBk model isn't to bad looking. If money wasn't an option Fast 90 & NW 90mm TB.
