Default lsx into gbody, speedo questions

I'm putting together everything I need to put my 5.3 in my malibu. I'm using a th350, does the ecu need to have a vss reading? I would be making my own wiring harness and was wondering this so I can buy whatever I need.

The car will run without the VSS if you have it tuned correctly but sometimes you may have an issue when you first let off the gas and are coming to a stop. If you can get a VSS, you will be better off. Magsensors.com sells aftermarket VSS's that mount onto the speedo output at the tranny.

I think, but don't know for sure, that the 4 pulse hall effect will work. Your pcm will need to be programmed for it. Thats the one I am going to order for my car.
