Default Lights of window switch

Well, the lights of the window switch and power lock bottons on the doors of my bird don't work. At night you can't even see the buttons or anything, is it supposed to be like that or do I need to find the problem? Any opinions?

Take out the handle area. There's 2 REEEEALLY small bulbs (think Micro-194s) that fit in there. They really don't shed much more light on the area you're looking for, but they add a nice accent It's only a 15min job both sides. Might need to unscrew 2 or 3 to get it out.

There are bulbs in the actual switches themselves? I have a 97, the only lights I was aware of were the accent lights in the door handle bezels.
