Default New Gm Cams

I got a release that GM has 2 new cams out specs are as follows:stage 2
227/239 duration @ .050 lsa 108 .324/.324 lift at the cam, stage 3 233/276
duration 107 lsa .350/.350 lift at cam. Any thoughts on what kind of power
one of these cams should make or what kind of manners they would have.

A 276 duration at .050 is HUGE. That cannot be right.

Whoa there.....a 43* split? That's a ton of exhaust duration. That stage 2 cam looks interesting though. Wonder what the lobes are like......

Those specs are off the GM Parts catalog, maybe that's one of the above mentioned revisions that are to be made to that page.

Interesting... they sound lopey though. I'll be keeping my eyes open for power numbers from these things. Also, the official intended use.

The second cam was designed by Katech Inc in their R&D on the LS7 motors. It has been a couple months since I first seen that thread started in the LS2/L92/LS7 Internal section.

Interesting. That stage 2 looks like a small step up from the ASA cam.
Stage 2: 227/239 .551/.551 LSA 108
ASA cam: 226/236 .525/.525 LSA 110
