Raced one in my 04 BMW 745LI (lol) we went from 60 mph or so and nailed it. Hung with him in fact had a few inches in front of him until about 140 or so adn he just walked me like I had a 4 cylinder. I did kinda get nervous for a sec tho b/c my tire pressure gage came on around 142+/- after pulling over turns out it was a false alarm.

ya srt8s only put 380 hp to the ground and they are heavier than a tank. he had much more than exhaust. and he did not beat a C6 Z06 he is full of **** he would need at least 700hp to make up for how much lighter the c6 z06 is.

That 425 is at the Crank! After it passes through that 5-speed auto it could be anywhere from 360-380 at the wheels and its a pig. He most likely sprayed you with a healthy shot of nitrous but even then considering what car you have and your mods you still should have pulled him on the other end. BTW he is full of **** in case I didn't say that. As far as racing the Z06.........I raced a SRT8 Charger with mods and it wasn't even a race.

The guy is full of crap. I know a guy with a modded SRT8 Charger. His mods were full exhaust, cold air intake, cam, tune, and a 100 wet shot. The best he run on nitrous was 12.14 @ 116. The guy you raced had to have more than exhaust. I agree with JETBLACK, he probably sprayed on you.

yes your right they do claim 425 to the wheels but it only put down 380 on a dyno jet. we dynoed one with 12 miles on it for a guy who owned a chrysler dealership he immeadiately called chrysler and bitched them out. they are overated just like c6 z06s are underrated i have heard of them throwing down 530 to the wheels bone stock. you cant always believe what you hear ford lightnigns also claimed something like high 300's to the wheels but i never seen a stock one make more than 300 even.

Dude, 380 at the wheels is about right, if not a bit on the high side, and stock lightnings put down a good bit more then 300 at the wheels, there is a difference between crank hp and wheels hp, there is drivetrain loss.

But i agree on him playing with you, atleast you didnt loose anything other than a bit of pride

yes the 380 would be right if they claimed 425 crank but the claim 425 rwhp i had this discussion with the dealership owner and he said they say its rwhp not crank but maybe he was wrong. and lightnings i had seen about 3 that were all stock that came to our auto tech school with some club and the stock ones all averaged like 280 rwhp on a dyno jet but then their were a few that had well over 500 rwhp with bolt ons (they said)
