Hellooo there,
I'm planning to get one of them but don't know which to pick.
I'll be using the stock heads for the mean time and my car will be daily driven for about 70 to 90 miles per day.
I know that both of the are good cams but i've heard that fo low and mid range the 228R is better.What's the benifet nd differance of the low and mid range power band and thehigh range of V2?
the max RPM will be 6300 and ill start shifting on 6000

both if i gonna get will be on 114LSA.

Why not call TSP with what you just said and have a cam ground specifically for your intentions? You will be happier that way I promise.

Ihad the TR 224 on a 114 with stock heads and all the bolt ons. I really liked that cam. I put me at stock ZO6 HP levels ( 370 RWHP )

Then I went with the 228R 114 and AFR heads milled to 62 CC. I seemed to lose power out if the hole and picked up really nice power on top. My tune was really off though.


To make up for the low end lag, I had 3.90s installed. That made the car very fun to drive.

Now I have a TV2 and FAST 90/90 set up waiting to install. After that' ill have to start buying parts to slow the car down quicker

If you want to shift at 6k you definitely need the 228R of those two cams. The TV2 needs to be ran higher than that to see the real benefit from it. Why have a cam that makes the extra power up top if you wont use it?

you will love that cam choice. It is a very good cam, and you can build on top of it quite easiely.

If you want to shift at 6000 then neither cam. Look at some of the VINCI/CRANE grinds with a 38 IVC, those are made to shift at 6000/6100
Otherwise you are just wasting cam potential.

I've checked with my tuner and said that shif points are on 6300 and the limiter was set on 6500 RPMs

I too say that you should look smaller. My T2 peaks at 6300 and dosnt even begin to fall all the way to the 6800 mark.

I luv the 228 cam, but like everyone else said its gonna rev higher than u want
