Drop into Gear stalls Immediately (Cold Engine)
What can cause this? The car starts fine when cold not surging ,But as soon as I drop it into reverse or D it stalls immediately. Is this an IAC issue? It's only when cold sitting overnight.Hot start is fine...Thanks for your help....

No, your problem is not too much airflow in drive. You need more airflow in drive. It might be possible that too high of an airflow value in park would cause the STIT to be way negative, then you shift into drive and the negative STIT work against you. But on autos I don't know if STIT's reset to 0 when you shift from park to drive. Regardless, you just need to get your idle trims to 0 in park and drive, cold and hot.
P Mack ,My Tune on my 408 is an open loop tune.MY LT's and ST's are allways at 0%.So you Think I need to go Higher with base Airflow then?

When your car is not moving, your IAC opens to a position based on the idle airflow+short term idle trims + long term idle trims. By logging idle trims you can see how much you need to adjust your idle airflow tables.
If you actually were talking about idle trims, sorry for the long explanation. But your idle trims will not always be zero, if that is the case, something is not letting your trims learn.
