Forced Induction - Question... Twin Turbo truck manifold kit with AC.... thinking...

Right now i have a custom front mount twin kit with truck mani's. I would like to get the AC back on the car. I am thinking of redoing my entire kit this winter to get the turbos to sit higher to allow gravity drain, and while i am at it, i would like to get the AC back on the car. I know the issue with Truck mani kits is that the pass side manifold exits where the AC compressor goes.... So i've seen on here (RICE ETR) did this with his single kit. He used a stock C6 manifold on pass side and ran a pipe through allowing to keep the AC in the stock location. Now couldnt i just replace my pass side turbo manifold for this C6 manifold and run my hot parts to where need be and be able to toss the compressor back in? Am i missing something here? Thanks!

possible, just have to have the DP go somewhere else other then where the ac goes and rout the passenger side manafold/exhaust to miss it to.
rice etr did so im sure others can

Those new k members BMR is making might help you out space wise.

Yea, i think thats what i'll try to do this winter. Make a twin kit with 1 truck manifold, 1 other manifold, retain AC and have the turbos gravity drain. I wonder how well a C5 manifold would work, i have a pair sitting in the garage... looks pretty close to the C6 manifold from the pictures. Would have to put in a new K for sure to get more space though.

I'm interested in doing the same is it the LH manifold off the C6? Is it a 6.0L manifold, not the ZO6?

SmokinHawk...didn't you relocate your A/C comp to the top of the drivers side head in testing one out?

I'd love th know more about this.

was going to but never got around to finishing the bracket, ran into some issues with the different belt sizes, maybe ill look into it again tonight.
still allot of issues to overcome, also probably would have to keep the same compressor as i doubt many people wouldnt pay for a different one.

I'm sure you have already thought about this but is there a manifold that dumps straight out the back or what about using a stock RH manifold and routing the crossover to the drivers side under the car. I know you must have thought about these ideas, why would they not work?

yes im sure there is, and sure it could work
only thing that might be a problem is ground clearance.

Well that is good news for me, kinda. I want to try this.

out of business phamspeed did that with their budget kit, but went under the kmember, most people had ground clearance problems, but were able to keep the AC.
With the new BMR kmember i think people will be able to keep in over the kmember with out to much problems.
also RICE ETR used an older bmr kmember and was able to keep ac and route it over the kmember

Just a thought could you flip the manifold upside down and go above the compressor?
I would like to see this also and keep a/c looking to tackle this around November time frame.

no, if you flip them so they point up they will hit the shock tower, first thing i tried when i got them.

damn that sucks.
