Default How do I upgrade to 2001 and up operating system?

In EFILive I'm trying to run autoVE but it suggests that i upgrade to a 2001 or later operating system. Do I just download a tune for a stock 2001 car with the same specs and upload that to my car? Also the instructions say that I will need this to run custom operating systems, does that mean 2 bar SD tuning?

It's not absolutely necessary to upgrade to the newer OS but there are some advantages. What year is your car?

check out www.holdencrazy.com. There is a tune there that has all the stock 99 calibrations migrated into the 02 OS. That would be the one you want to start with if you plan on upgrading your OS.

will require a full flash. If you've already made changes to your tune, you may want to copy those tables over before you perform the flash.
