Default Tune After Converter

You I need to have a re flash done on my computer after installing a 3000ish stall on an LS1. Itried to search but nothing, maybe I just suck at the search.

A tune would be helpfull for sure. But wether required or not is had to say. Some cars seem to adapt to the higher stall without issue others have shifting problems and sometimes sets codes and limp mode. I would plan on doing it so it dosent catch you of guard but just see what happens first.

The only problem I had tune-wise after installing the new converter was that the engine would surge badly at idle with the stock setting of 550 rpm idle speed. It even stalled on me a couple times at stop lights. I raised it to 650 rpm and it's much better, although still slightly detectable. I didn't change anything else.

I had "idle hunt" issues like said above and increased the in gear idle too. I don't have a shift kit so increased the line pressure some, along with deleting torque management. See how the car reacts.

You can do what i did. Did the tune first. When i do the converter it will already be there for me. Car runs fine with tune and stock converter.
