Street Racing & Kill Stories - Killed a 06 Mustang GT(Disappointed)

I was at light when an 06 mustang GT pulls up next to my, I paid no attention to it ,light turns green I give it a little gas when he goes WOT and passes me by 1 length so I hit it and catch him by 50 mph. So I tell him to go on 3 honks. We do. I immediately pull on him about 2 lengths ,I killed him so bad, I say about 6 lengths to 120 mph. I slowed down to see if he wants to redeem himself we slowed down to 40 mph , I honk 3 times again he jump out first about half a car then I killed him even worse by 100 mph i couldn't count how far back he was, I slowed down tell him nice car and give him the deuce. Well I was very disappointed with the new mustangs. The guy look like 250 pounds and his buddy look about 200 pounds also so that didn't help. But they give me the thumbs up :thumb:

Nice kill. I have also been disappointed in the new Mustangs performance stock & modded. At least they were cool about their loss.

Good kill, although not that impressive, they are way more impresseve than a 2V New Edge GT.

Nice kill. I was a tech at my local ford dealership when the 05s first hit the lot. We had to do PDI's on all the new vehicles so I got to drive quite a few of them. They are faster than my 03 was stock but still didn't do what I thought they should have done.

I expect the 05, 06 Mustangs GT's to be Faster. My wife has a 04 Mustang GT and when we race it seems like her car gets me more competition :nod:

450 lbs worth of occupant weight will do that, especially since we don't know about the other driver's weight and we don't know at all about the driver mod in both cars.

The 3.31 S197s (3.55 are optional IIRC) are dogs in stock form. I test drove two, and I actually like them a lot, but the factory tune and gears absolutely suck. Not to mention they dyno around 260rwhp bone stock.

But they are good cars. A CAI, tune, geared GT can run low 13s consistently, dipping into the 12s with good driver and tires.

Yeah the '05+ Mustang GT's are really in need of a tune from the factory. With just a good tune alone they are a much different car. Add gears, exhaust, intake, along with a good tune and low 13's/high 12's are no problem for them.

Yup. I've killed 4 or 5 stock ones in my skittle, but a guy I know at work did the above ^^^ and he walks away slowly from a roll.
