Default coil pack
how can you tell if a coil pack is bad or not? and i need to get the cylnder # i have misfire on 5 and 6

You can swap the coils from cylinders that are not misfiring and see if you get the same codes.

Well 5 and 6 are on different banks - have you looked at those plugs/wires? Drivers side front to back is 1,3,5,7 - passenger side front to back is 2,4,6,8.
