Default Anyone make a 4" output F-body air lid?

going to be running a 4" lingenfelter MAF and a sheet metal intake on the car. Searched around a bit but couldnt find an airlid witha 4" output. Can anyone point me in the right direct or will I be busting out the epoxy and fabbing one up myself?

They don't make those anymore...

My SLP lid outlet is about 4" in diameter, but it'd have to be much larger than that to actually stuff a MAF sensor IN it. Since I don't run a MAF sensor, I just butted a 4" diameter pipe up against it and use a silicone coupler to joint it to the lid. Works for my application, but I don't think that is what you are looking for...

this may sound like a dumb question and sorry for hijacking a thread, but how are you not running a MAF?

I tuned around it...if you do a search for "speed density", you'll find a lot of information.

actually typed that one in under a haze....I will be running a 100mm MAF from Lingenfelter and I'm trying to tie into the slp air box ls-1 set-up I have for the car. The SLP air lid only goes to 90mm.

I'm looking for a lid that will bolt into the LS1 air intake set-up that has a 4" output that I can use 4" I.D. silicone couplers to connect the lid to the MAF and teh MAF to the throttle body as referred to by meentss02. and NOT stuff it into the lid itself, sorry for teh confusion.

Meentss02, which lid are you running?

Just the regular old SLP aftermarket air lid...the opening is VERY close to 4". The outlet on mine wasn't exactly round, but a 4" pipe butted up to the end of it and sat flush against the lid.

I have an SLP lid and a Delphi 85mm MAF. I found a place online that sold silicone hoses and bought a coupler with an ID of 3.75" which fit both snug. It was about 4" in length so I had to trim it down to 2.25" to fit correctly. If I remember correctly they sold them up to 4" ID and also had reducers. PM me if you want the site information.

I took a calipers to my SLP lid last night and came up with 90mm I.D. My MAF and TB will both be 100mm I.D. so why have the restriction at the lid after investing in a sheet metal intake, 100mm TB and 100mm MAF....I may have to get creative with some carbon fiber and resin, Just would rather pay someone else for one than get dirty, this project is time consuming enough at this point fitting an LSX based drysump motor into an LT1 car.

I have a Volant intake for sale. It was ported so that a 85mm maf would fit inside so your maf shoule couple right up to it. It is 4" outer diameter. Here is a pick of what they look like. It will flow the air you are looking for.

I don't think that would even work with the size he is attempting to achieve. I don't do fabrication so it is a little beyond me. I would almost try and cut out he entire neck of the lid to a point where a new 100mm cylinder piece can be joined some how. Two issues that people face with just the aftermarket lid are the top of the lid hitting the hood or the bottom of the neck resting on the piece bellow it. Maybe instead of a 100mm round cylinder piece you could go with something more oval and use the silicone coupler to make the transition from the oval shape of the lid and the round shape of the MAF?
