What does the new one from home depot look like now? Is it part # HDA70400AV. I was just looking at it on their website a second ago, then I go to look for it again and I get an error??
I searched for the old thread on how to do this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ighlight=catch
I really want to do this now. Those big *** balloon ones on Summit don't seem easy to hide...

This might be kinda ghetto but it's a popular PCV/CCV mod over TDIClub and I have one for my Jetta TDI. http://www.tractorsupply.com/detail....roductID=27104
Still testing it out, just got a couple hundred miles on it but lots of people really like it. You have to add a pot scrubber in the middle of the mesh but I just picked some up at the grocery store. Purolator also has a PCV filter you can buy that I think pretty much fits down in the valve cover, might need to trim a little. Saw it on here sometime back.......

I think I just wasted my money on a Lowes one. It's part number KBA10600AV or http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...0AV&lpage=none
I thought it would be cool cause the bottom has a screw to bleed off the oil. But it doesn't actually look like that. It's just a barbed fitting that you can pull on to bleed. What's confusing me is, the Outlet is blocked off? At the top, you have one inlet, and the other side is an outlet. Except the outlet has threads there, but it's sealed off inside? Even worse, the bottom lets air pass through, unless you pull down on the fitting (it should stay sealed as is then bleed off when you pull it). So if I blow in the inlet, air comes out the bottom. All in all, waste of money.

I'm not understanding why you guys don't buy the right part for the job to begin with. I'm all for innovation and saving money but come on it's a friggin catch can...

Go to Home Depot personally. I went there and got a catch can. It's on the car now. It doesn't look like the one on their site though. Oddly, it looks like the one on Lowes' website And one at Lowes' store doesn't look like the one on their website. It's all mixed up ****. It looks like this, except it's black, not blue. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...0AV&lpage=none
So go to Home Depot and get it.
