Midwest Chassis fabricated 9 inch heres a few pics of the rearend i just finished up. made a custom tunnel mounted adjustable torque arm so theres no problems with clearance or misalignment with those goofy adapter brackets. also had the laser cutter make me up some lca relocators and installed them before powdercoating. this is a real fabricated housing, not a Moser housing with a different back cover. the drain plug is standard on all the housings. a fill plug on the backside is a little extra, as is a backbrace. the new housings now feature a 4 hole adjustable relocator built right into the lca bracket. this is standard on all the rearends at no extra cost. there is a trans crossmember mounted torque arm version available, also. same price for all.

yea... hope so! it's also a few pounds lighter than the others i was looking at. working on making the anti-sway now. should have it done in the next week.
here's a pic of the crossmember and driveshaft loop this features a polyurethane bushing in the bottom of the torque arm mounting link to eliminate the noise that others are having problems with. the link also has 4 adjustment points to offer instant center point changes. not everybody has the same power and gearing.

ok... this is the only pic i have of the plate i used to build the core. this pic is of the first housing i did, but it was for my race car. and if you're wondering, no its not a M9 or Alston housing. i work as a fabricator and have access to a laser cutter and cnc brake.

sorry, no pics of that. maybe when i get the car up again i'll get some and post up. torque arm clears the tunnel and as far as clearance goes, its the same or smaller than the Dana 60's i've seen. that was my goal when i did this. to come up with a setup that was bolt in and no hammer work! I also set it up to use the 4ch abs. my buddy has a 3 ch. car and wanted me to do one for him, so i'm working on a 3 ch sensor setup.
this thing is like anything else, though. you lower it far enough and something is gonna hit! lol

Are you planning on selling these, or is this more of a side project? From the looks of the quality, you'd be overwhelmed with business.

not sure, but i suppose if someone sent me some stock brackets i may do one. thats the whole problem with building one of these. the control arm brackets are relatively complex. it took long enough to design the housing core for my racecar! I am in the works of drawing up some really cool brackets that will incorporate relocators all in one. i know Moser had some problems with relocators not working with their brackets and i don't want that problem, so right now it will have to be stock brackets off of a 7.5 core.

I have now purchased and installed one of the Fab 9s And SSVERTs Fab 9s are a TRUE fabricated rear-end, hand assembled, and are top notch. Unlike others whom are using Moser parts and calling them FABRICATED, this is a hand made peice and is extremly high quality. I would recommend his to anyone looking to upgrade, and the prices are excellent!!!

He uses a nice vent that works perfect. I hope he ends up selling some of these because you WILL not find a nicer piece...we have been doing this a long time and Glad we found him!

all depends on what you want with it. gear, posi/spool, abs rings, back brace, brake setup, anti-sway, etc.
I'm also working on a stock-type adapter for those who already have my tunnel mounted torque arm.
