If I had the money, I would go to ARE - I think their 427 long block is currently $12800 - 10% off... which is an great deal in my opinion.. ...I wish I had the money.. or you could get one with 2year warranty at MTI for $20k...

We offer a 427 cid LS1 long-block with an MTI resleeved aluminum block starting just under $12,000. It will vary according to how you want the heads setup, along with other options. Feel free to give us a call or shoot us an e-mail if you would like to discuss this further, or you can e-mail me with your phone number and I will call you.

Thanks!

It is not $20k. I have MTI C5-R 427 & it is still less than that.

resleeved aluminum block $2000 (about)
Lunati stroker kit for a 427CI $4000 (about)
Heads are from $1600 to $2700. Well, it all depends what company you want and LS1 or LS6 heads!

Hope this helps!

It is not $20k. I have MTI C5-R 427 & it is still less than that.
Then how much is it? I went by numbers on their home-page. It's actually 21-23k, however that also includes a bunch of other stuff like headers, all the bolt-ons, etc. I guess you could talk them into some kind of a deal, but that's the advertised price. Please let me know specifics of your motor - you saying you have C5R - is it just a block or you also have C5R heads all for <20k ??

edit: ok, your signature says stage 3 ls6 heads - so what was the quote on that? I'm very interested, though probably won't do it untill next year.

I believe an MTI 427 longblock is $16k outright or $14k if you have a core.

I would also consider Cartek and ARE.

I don't remember exactly since I got it last year, but I think it was close to $19k. This includes other stuff like pulleys, injectors & there was no core charges.

Better ask MTI. Good luck.
