Default 224r or 228r and what all do I need?

I've decided to finally bite the bullet and and upgrade my cam. My car is a daily driver and I drive in a lot of stop and go traffic so driveability is a major concern for me. I have a 3400 stall and boltons. Would a 228r be too big for me? What all do I need for cam like this? Springs? Timing chain?

I just order the 228r from Texas-Speed they have a cam package that you can get http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp...d=174&catid=49. Also you should get an Ls6 oil pump (stock or ported) and an Ls2 timing chain. If you want better driveability get the 114 , I got the 112 and I am also a DD but either one should be fine.

yeah i meen the 224 or the 228 will both perform great w/ your converter and all the bolt ons... same thing as homerun said, springs, retainers pushrods, oil pump (ls6 ported) ls2 timing chain.
