My 2000 Z-28 is black all around and the three Z-28 emblems don't show (on purpose I'm assuming for continuity of the blackness).

Would these ebay Z-28 emblems look like crap if I put them on in place of the black ones?

I think they would look pretty good. It all depends on what you think though, you're the one that has to see it every day. I personally plan on de-badging mine. I like the clean look. but yea man, if you like it, do it
