Default Anyone using a 700R4?

Looking to stuff an ls1 into a c4 corvette.. is the 700r4 a direct bolt up or do i have to do something funky with the converter?

..and what do you use for the TV cable?

i have a 700r4 behind my '04 lq9 in my '69 chevelle.. my tv cable is routed through my firewall and connects to a bracket i welded onto my gas pedal. i mash the gas, pedal goes down, tv cable pulls. i'll try to grab a pic... i got my tranny from performabuilt, they made me a converter w/ an extra ring/spacer that bolts up to the lq9 flywheel.

I would like to see the pic's too, and measurements. I am trying to decide how I want to connect the throttle valve cable on my 200-4R tranny.

The 700R4, 4L60, and 4L60E have the same external dimensions and case. The 4L60E is the electronic controlled version of the 700R4 / 4L60.

One thing I did have to get was different flex plate. Te crank bolt pattern is different on the TQ converter.

You can call up Advanced Adapters and they can get you the flex plate you need. http://www.advanceadapters.com/

I am using 700r4 also. had to weld a piece of steel to my 04 GTO throttle body with a kickdown tab on it. also made a bracket to bolt to first 2 intake bolts to hold TV cable. I used a stock 00 camaro flat flywheel with custom converter.

Using a 700r4 w/ls1 in a 69 Camaro, Gm flexplate pn. 12551367 special bolts and a spacer all from GM . Sorry I can't find the other pn #s. I'm using my same torque converter, an 87 Iroc t.v. cable, you will have to modify the end. Welded an L shaped bracket to the throttle body. Btw I'm using a 99 z/28 throttle cable. I'll try to post a pic.

I have a 700R4 in a 84 camaro LS1 swap, you will need spacer that will go in between the flywheel and the converter, found here...
http://www.transmissioncenter.net/highperflist.htm
This will take up the empty space you will have and also allow the converter hub to center properly, you will also need the kick down cable setup which you can get from here..
http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/cata...php?ITEMID=225
Very nice setup, you can only use 98-99 TB with this setup, 2000-up have a differant throttle cam, also you will have to open up the holes a little on the flywheel to get the converter to line up and most of all, check and double check how much the converter pulls from the tranny to the flywheel shouldn't be no more the 1/8 inch of travel, if it is anymore you will also have to add washers in between the converter pads and the flywheel, or be ready to replace the pump because you will destroy it. Here are some pics to help as well. Oh and one last thing, one bellhousing bolt will not go in which just so happens to be the dipstick tube hole, i ended up buying a mildon flexable dipstick tube from Summit and bolted to the head, works great. Hope this helps you out.
