Default GM 18 degree heads on LT1 camaro?

i didn't buy the car yet but i want to do this conversion, any one done that?

GM 18 degree heads converted to LT1 style heads and installed on 94 LT1 camaro. i think i will need custom 18 degree long tube headers or maybe i need to modify the Hooker 1-3/4" longtube headers for LT1 camaros.

also i think i will need custom 18 degree pistons. i want to do a GM 18 degree headed 396 motor in 94-95 LT1 camaro. any one know about this conversion?

oh yeah, i think i will need the valvetrain for 18 degree heads i.e. lifters,
rockers, pushrods.....etc

i like the GM 18 degree heads because they have 215cc intake runner unported and 60cc chambers so the GM 18 degree heads will have better streetability and port velocity better than other brands that have very large intake runner that is around 245cc to 250cc unported like Brodix and trickflow.

thanks.

Bring your wallet, that swap is gonna be PRICEY!

Headers will have to be fabbed, about $1200

You will have to buy ALL the supporting hardware, pistons, valvetrain, intake, elbow of some sort.

Yes they make good power, do a search on Camaroz28.com for "Mindgame" He made 540rwhp with a set MANY years ago.

I dont know of ANY out of the box small block head with a 250cc runner.

trickflow tfs-3182b001+ 250cc intake 100cc exhaust out of the box.they flow in the upper 330's as cast i also have thinking about this route.no matter what block you use most of the parts are specialized for 18'.the majority of the cost is in converting the head.it runs about $400 to $500 to do the conversion.
