RPM at IDLE

I have a 2001 Chevy Camaro SS. I was wanting to know what should my RPM be at IDLE while the car is in park and also what it should be in Drive but Idling. I have no mods accept the air lid. Thanks!

Since you have no mods i would think about 700 while in park and probably 550-600 in drive, at least thats about where my old car idled.

Stock idle for an automatic car at operating temp is 550rpm in gear and 650 in park/neutral. Don't rely on your factory tach, most of them are way off......mine reads 300rpm fast.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to troubleshoot a voltage problem and thought it might been the idle.

That's right where mine is
