LT1 auto transmission combinations

LT1 auto transmission combinations i was wondering what the strongest automatic transmission is for an LT1. I've heard of peopole switching to TH350 trannys beacause they didnt like the 4L60E trannys. How hard is it to bolt up a TH350 to a LT1 i was kinda figuring it woudln't be to hard since the LT1 is pretty much a SBC

Its not a bad swap. But you would be losing alot. overdrive gone and 30 percent of your milage, lower first gear gone meaning you will need either more stall or a lower rear ratio to get the same launch.
A well built 4l60e will stand up to all but the most exstreme build ups . It really depends on what your doing with the car what the best choice is.
