3.42s to 4.10s
Well so far it sounds like they were put in correctly, but the mechanic charged me an extra hundred for some part that he didn't specify because the gear set wasn't a gm set. I was wondering if the Motive gears vs the gm gears is any different. I was under the impression that you only needed to get something extra when going from the 2.73 to anything else. I'm just trying to see if the mechanic is tryin to get me or im just plain worng. Haha. For the record I didn't pick up the car from the shop so I couldn't argue on the spot or find out the other part.

Why don't you ask him what the part was? I don't think anyone here is psychic.
Did you give him a complete install kit? they run around $100. Only other thing is a ring gear spacer but you shouldn't have needed one of those since you didn't have 2.73's.
Maybe he broke a speed sensor when pushing the axles in, does it have ASR?

Yeah sorry I would go ask him but it's kinda hard when I'm at school and hes back where I'm from. I did give him a compleate install kit but it could be the speed sensor. When I go home I'm going to have to ask him what it was then I can narrow things down a bit.
