i would think that only time it could come close is going through the intake manifold...

maybe spark plugs or wires are bad? I had a 91 RS with burnt wires once while I was on a long haul. Was missing horrible but I couldn't really stop in the middle of the desert so I pushed on through. I think I was running on only 5 or 6 cylinders... Anyway, when I changed the oil (along with the plugs and wires), it was super runny and smelled like gas.

Dead injector/s would be suspect if you have not made any mods recently. If you have done mods recently share them and we can see if we see a potential cause.

A lot of guys have ruined motors by putting in the wrong sized injectors and not tuning for them, gas diluting oil is a very bad thing, always going to happen to some slight degree but if it happens severely the damage can be severe.

it is a new rebuild, with a horrible miss, the iac valve was bad,i replaced it,so it will idle now, could that have caused it to miss that bad?, will do a comp ckeck this weekend and a fuel injector check as well, wires and plugs will be right there too

Was the FPR vacuum line hooked back up? I know of at least one new motor that was lost to that mistake.

Is it a stock rebuild? Stock injectors? Stock tune?
