Default I bought into the hype of CS 0w-30....

Lets hope everybody was right on the long term pros of this motor oil....

my initial thoughts are the motor sounded MUCH smoother at first start up and seemed to run quite a bit smoother (could just be me)

the car is the one in the sig with 50,000 miles on it....Lets hope everyone is right about this oil!

I think you mean GC 0W-30, as in German Castrol 0W-30 CS 0W-30, introduction to computer science

Got the results of my oil test back and they were pretty bad on the TA. Results on the truck were alright. Will post them when I get back from vacation.

This was with GC 0-30. May be changing oils if the next test is bad.

Maybe don't leave it in for 10k. That might be too long even for GC, depening on your driving style. Try 5k next, then work your way up 1,000 miles each change till things start looking not-so-good.

I wasn't impressed with it. My piston slap was much worse and my valve train was noisier.

If you look at what the 0w realy means if you didnt know all ready it refers to winter the W is for winter. Now what that means is the oil at 0 is thinner than the 5 or 10 so the warmer it is where you live is what realy determins the W I live in MI and it gets cold up here But I'm going the other way because of oil consumption I'm at 10w.
Realy I dont think that the 0w to 5w is going to hurt the engine as long as you change (5000 miles or less on syn I go 3000 no matter what) it but I wouldent go any lower than 5w personaly ever unless I see reserch other wise.

I switched from GC 0w-30 to Motorcraft 5w-50 (Ford GT oil) and couldn't be happier with the results.
