Car was almost stolen tonight (Baton Rouge) Well, I was sitting here fixing up my resume' for the career fair tomorrow when I hear my 2 way pager for my alarm beeping. I figured it was some drunk guy because it was around 2 am, so I look through the window and see a black guy and a white guy with a crowbar trying to get into the car. I ran out there and they ran away. The cops couldnt get prints off of the car because it was wet so they are trying again in the morning.
Did I mention I had my other car stolen from the same exact spot a little over a year ago? My condo complex is gated with security cameras and floodlights so its not a bad neighborhood.
BR area guys, invest in a good alarm and lojack if possible. It is worth its weight in gold.

damn man, better you than me cause i would have probably shot them(maybe with a bow just to stay in season, haha)...i dont take lightly to someone messing with my property and espically my car. no way in hell they would have gotten away. but good thing you caught them when you did...

Thieves don't steal in the poor neighborhood where these crap to steal. They mostly steal from the upper class. Thats why I have an alarm, the club, and the brake club. Not saying that it can't be stolen but if they get in there like ****. I agree with echo3313 thats why I have my glock 40 for. Hope you get them.

Congrats on running them off. I think your lucky they didn't have a gun and shoot you. I wouldn't think about confronting guys like that without something in my hand to defend myself. If it was my car those guys would have been DRT. The cops wouldn't have been worried about fingerprints.
