Default 3.42 to replace my 2.73's

I am looking at buying some 3.42s from Trev_SS but not sure they will work in my rear. he thinks they will..but i read some old posts in here saying that 3.42 are a series 3 carrier, and that the 2.73's are a series 2.

Any ideas? If i buy these, will they fit?

It needs to be the thick gear. You can run the 3.42 out of a 3 series carrier with a spacer, but it is extremely unreliable and difficult to adjust correctly.
I have run the Strange 3.42 thick gear for years with no problem.

I have the spacer setup ion my car. It was originally a 2.73 car! 3.42 gears been in almost 2 years with no problems! Its all about how installs and set them up, and break in!
