Default Replacing rear output seal

Im about to change out my leaking rear output seal on my t56. anything i need to know/advice on how to do it??

seems pretty straight forward:

remove driveshaft
pop out seal
lube and put in new one
slide the driveshaft back in, bolt everything back together...and drive

any comments/advice would be appreciated as ive never done this before.

thanx

We silicone them in not lube them in. Use black silicone and seal it then put lube lightly on the inside. Other than that yes that is it.

I don't even silicone the seal since they have a sealer on the outside of the housing of the seal . As for the leak , most of the time rear seals won't leak unless there is another issue like the rear bushing is worn or the driveshaft yoke is worn . The only other real issue is dirt on the yoke rubbing in and out on the seal .
