He is barely beating me he has a 01 SS i have a 98 We both have Stage 1 SLP PACKAGE except he has a diffrent exhaust and computer I dont want to get the computer yet and I am getting a cut out installed in 2 days but What can I do just to give me the edge he is barely beating me by half a car any ideas?

It's hard to get hp fast. Have you thought about some bolt on's, maybe some LT's maybe gears. If your game why not get a decent shot of nitrous? There are plenty of different things you can go with in this broad catagory.

the quickest advantage I can think of is some sticky tires.

othere than that, you can juice her or throw in some bolt-ons like LTs

or maybe just get a stock tune and you can wake up some horses

"Stage 1" is what, lid, cai, and exhaust? my memory is foggy. If so just get an ls6 intake, headers, you can port your throttle body too, underdrive pulley would also be an option. And take some weight outta your car while youre at it

Well if you've got a stock car, your computer and tune are fine. If you're equal drivers, he's probably edging you out cause he's got better intake. Ported maf/tb, gears and an ls6 intake would put ya ahead.

Its not a HP mod but if you need to be faster quickly... I'd cut weight from the car. take out the rear set belts and seats, spare, jack, front sway bar, AC, emissions stuff. Then get some sticky tires. possibly even get some light weight front runners to knock even more weight off the nose. These are all quick mods that will net better launches and a better power to weight ratio. Other than that do as the other sugested.. LT headers, spray, if its an A4 stall and sticky tires, a gear and sticky tires if its an M6. There is tons you can do.

I would say if you want to be subtle about it, where he really couldn't tell you did anything go stall and gears if your an auto, if your a M6 then get 4.10s and some sticky tires and roll out on him!
