Default low boost...lag...general bs to pass the time

I went to SDR friday and wanted to see how slow i could get the car to run so my wife can drive it. 3895# raceweight....3.08 gears..28" tires.....13.5 deg timing and racegas with a 2400 stall hurts bigtime off the line with a launch from idle.
no need for a burnout....
5.5psi
1.98 60'
11.47@125
boost starts at 3600 rpms and all in by 5300 i think it is...very supra like but slow enuff for the wife as its drama free with the big ole t-6 1.32 a/r

next pass no changes but boost to 9.5 psi
1.98 60'
11.32 @ 131....funny how it only picked up .10

next pass no changes except to leave off the tbrake at 3500 rpms (no 2 step)
same 9.5psi
1.56 60'
10.29@ 132

Well thats that. Next time out, i plan to have a more appropriate tune with more timing as race gas is hurting power since i dont need it at 9.5psi (cheap insurance though for my luck). It was interesting to see how much i could slow it down though for the wife to make some passes in a local fbody shootout next weekend. She is gonna run 11.0 class

I intend to go up on boost some now that it just got cooler and get a little more serious about et.
i still think it would run 9.99 at 9.5-10 psi if i would add some timing and run on some better tires but its been a lot of fun to learn efilive and monkey around with other stuff like shiftpoints. maybe ill go back to that goal after fall

enuff wasted time...back to your regularly scheduled programming

mainly i want the wife to be able to drive with no drama. Letting the wife drive a few passes definitely makes it seem like OUR car that i spend money on You guys gotta understand how helpful it can be when the wife APPROVES of the money spent
