Default New 06' gto where to start with dealer.

I found a brand new gto with an honest to god 45 miles on it at a dealer in a small town I go through all of the time. I have been wanting one for a while and I figure since it is almost two model years old they need to move it real bad. The sticker is 32 on it I'm thinking around twenty is a good place to start and go from there. When I called about it the salesman said they needed to move it. I had a friend buy one new in 06 that walked out for 22500 but it took a day and a half worth of dealing to get it. It's a black a4 I was wanting a silver or blue stick but if the price is right. What is a good place to start followed by how do those of you with the auto tranny's like them.

I would start by saying that exactly. Make it look like you can take it or leave it, and believe me he won't want you to leave.

I had an A4 before I got my M6 even when I bought that PRG04/A4, I had my heart set on an M6. It was very hard for me to feel fully satisfied with my auto. Different people react differently (meaning you may very well be completely pleased w/ and A4), and it's something else you might think about when trying to get the price down to right where you want it.

Went and wasted a whole day today the lowest they would go is 23 but that was still not low enough for me to settle for a car that is not quite what I want.

23 is a steal on a new 2006, but I would never buy an A4 GTO.

Personally, I'd have to agree.

Before I bought mine used, I was looking at new. The dealers with new M6's on the lot know that they have the last few and are unwilling to budge much on the price. I wanted to be out the door at $30k. I told one sales guy that, and he told me good luck, not gonna happen. Pretty much the same experience everywhere I called.

$23k is an absolute steal on a new 06.

However, if it isn't what you want, then it's still $23k you'd be blowing.

$9k off is just a stupid deal, but like they settle, you'd be making a mistake to settle for an A4. I work for a dealership chain and one of our stores has a 05 silver 6 speed with 24k on it for $23,950. Didn't seem too bad until I found this one http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=28

That blue is even the color I'm after but 20 is still too high and nc is too far. Patience will pay off as soon as somebody starts getting a divorce, I'll be there with cash in hand to get a hell of a deal on someones pride and joy. Thanks for the heads up on the red one, just not my color. Silver or blue going for

Read the fine print...was wrecked & repaired, comes with the dealer's 6month/6K mile warranty. Makes it sound like the factory warranty was invalidated
