Default question for strange 12bolt users

I just installed a 4 channel 12bolt (only driven 10 miles), I didn't think about it before install but...is there a vent tube on the thing, I can't remember, and if so...does it need to have any tubing fixed to like the moser rears so that it doesn't spew everywhere or is it more like the stock 10 bolt?

Also, what kind of grease to use for the axles bearings....syn, non-syn ( i know non-sys gear oil for the gears)?

There is a vent on mine on the passenger's side, close to where the center section meets the axle tube. Mine came with a little porous brass nut looking thing of a vent screwed in there (1/8" NPT fitting), but I've since gone ahead and replaced it with a 1/8" NPT to 3/8" hose barb, and I'll be just running some hose to a small plastic vent tube.

As for the grease, I've been meaning to call them about that...I'm not sure what to use either.

You guys have different bearings than me. My Strange 12 bolt has sealed bearings that are pressed on the axle. I do have one of those brass vents on the housing though.

yeah, there's grease fittings at the outer ends of the axle tubes (just inboard of the brake backing plates) I'm assuming that's what they're for.
