ok well i just bought a forged shortblock with a 383. Now i want to run my stock heads with 107,000 miles on them for 8 psi. I was fine before till my motor experienced way too much blowby and kinda fell apart. So i was wondering if id be alright to throw the stock heads on instead of sending them out to be reworked.

1. im low on budget..

2. i really think it will be fine..im sure it wont be max perfomance but im sure ill be ok


any opinions?

If nothing else I would at least get them pressure tested and flat milled.
