Default I need help guys

I bought a new center console, replacing the one I have now because of some scratches. I have a MBA shift **** (A4), but I cant get it off. I seems like it is stuck. It will twist a little but after that nothing. Any Ideas?

small clip on the back of the **** (looks like a staple i guess) then it will pop right off

This top on is mine bottom pics are not, Its all I have atm. The bottom pics give you a better idea. It just screws right on.
