Default How to replace the trans mount

I need some help figuring out the easiest way to replace the trans mount on my 96 trans am A4. Under any more than 1/4 throttle the driveshaft smacks the bottom of the car under acceleration. From what I've read its probably a broken/worn trans mount.

Does anyone know of a step by step diagram of how to do this? Also does it make sense for it to be the trans mount?

Thanks in advance

yea it is common to break on those cars. its pretty simple jack the trans up unbolt the mount and replace it. im not sure on the 4th gens but you might have to pull the crossmember and if thats the case its only 4 bolts. i would recommend an energy suspension for i havent broke mine yet.

Pretty straitforward
Support tranny, remove crossmember, replace mount, reinstall crossmember.
I've broken a few

Get an Energy Suspension Poly one. You'll never go through another tranny mount again.

As have I. Not on this car, and I want to keep it that way...it sucks being stuck in the middle of something because you dont know exactly what you're doing. I just ordered the energy suspension trans mount so hopefully it'll be going on the car this weekend! Hopefully this fixes the problem cuz I'm tired of seeing the car sit...
