I've got a 2000 Vert SS with a4 and 3.73's, 10 bolt. 380 rwhp. I think it still has stock posi unit.

For awhile now, its been moaning pretty bad on hard to medium launches when turning left from a start. Today it has turned to almost a gringing noise. Also does it sometimes from a straight start. No noise from a roll.

So what is broke?

Hard to say what is broke. The 10 bolt rear is too weak for these cars, it hangs in there longer on an automatic but it will still eventually break. Bob
