Exclamation First time to the track with 00 ss m6!

I just wanted to get some pointers for taking my 2000 black camaro ss to the track tomorrow with a 6 speed in it. Two other guys at work are taking theres up there they have a 98 ws6 and a 97 z28 so i wanna make sure i blow there time away. the only problem i think is my car only puts down 277 to the wheels and 289 for torque so please send me lots of pointers!!

If it's your first time at the track period check out this link: https://ls1tech.com/forums/removed-locked-thread-graveyard/699837-going-track-first-time.html

You also may want to do a search for 6-speed launching tips, as there plenty of threads in this section on that.

Baby steps on launching, as your street tires will likely not hook as well as you may think. Concentrate on lining up in the groove, make sure you hit all the gears well, and you'll get better with the each pass as practice always helps!

Good luck!
