Should I waste my time against this GTO?
I have a 94 A4 Z28 with 317Rwhp and 340lbs of torque. This guy has an 04 M6 GTO with bolt ons. (not sure exactly what they are, but nothing past a few bolt ons) What do you guys think? I personally thought it would be a good race. I have some BFG Drag radials, so I'll be wanting to race from a dig. Especially, since I have an A4. Should I worry about him pulling me up top though? I figure the weight to power difference should be very close...

He states that his lt-1 is makin 317whp 340trq, ls1gto is prolly makin around 300whp power maybe a little less. The gto is 300-400lbs heavier=gto needing to make 40 or more whp to run even with his lt-1. its just simple math!!!

oh btw The 04 gto has ls-6 exhaust manifolds, c5 zo6 tranny ratio, and is 350bhp. the 05-07 gto is ls-2 400bhp if you want to get technical. If he is making the power and torque as he states then i see him giving a ls2 a good run out of the hole.

Yep exactly. People forget that the car is heavier and that there not very fast. Also i thought the 04's are the LS1s? I could be wrong, but i know for certain that the LS1s were a disappointment for the GTOs. 300 hp i believe to the wheels.

My old car (the one in the sig) beat a 04 gto. My car had nothing but headers and was on the clock at like 149K A4 on street tires(275's) against a 6spd with with full SLP exhaust and a CAI and it was like brand freakin new not ragged or anything. The old car ran SURPRISINGLY good though...beat srt-10s and ran with ls1's all day long. Id say go for it...if u lose no big deal blame it on that he has an LSx lol

I just dynoed the other day and have 269whp and 295ft pounds. I smoked a 6.0L GTO through 3rd, his was an auto also... that was also not on the bottle. I say you will tear him a new one.
