Default centerforce question

Ok i am getting ready to do a clutch swap in a 99 ss
i have
throw bearing
centerforce clutch and pressure plate dual friction
stock hydros

when i first did a clutch swap in a ls1 in 01 i got a centerforce and had the factory flywheel resufaced when i got it all back togeither the factory slave blew out the front and it was a 01 02 slave
i ended up going with a mecloud set up with a flywheel

now i am doing one for a friend
here are my questions
do centerforce require a shim like speedincs to make sure it dont happen again?
or has centerforce somehow sloved this and dont need a shim? (they werent avaible when i did it the first time)

also how much do you recomend buying a 01 02 slave?
this is for a friend want to do it right and once but they are also on a tight budget going to med school

what did you guys do with your centerforce swaps?

thanks for looking
