Default Th350

Can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of switching from a M6 to a TH350. I plan on running nitous after this winter with the new heads and cam. I would like to be in the low 10's to high 9's. Will the TH350 stand up to what I need and want or should I look at a differant auto tranny?

I don't know but you can throw a stock rebuild kit and a 4L80E direct drum+sprag ($50-100 at a trans hardpart supplier) in a th400 and it'll hold the power IMO. The th350 MIGHT with a hardened intermediate race or an expensive custom direct drum.
And some other tweaks here and there.

I have said this before a TH350 is not that much stronger than a 4L60E pariculary if your breaking hard parts , if you saw inside one you might be amazed just how similar they are. as for how different well much higher first ratio , much lower final ratio. Drivability will suffer as far a fuel efficency and general engine wear. More cruising RPM equals more wear. Why not go buILt 4L60E or better yet 4L80E

There are several sponsors on here who offer them we do not at presnet but will in about a month when we are set up in our new larger building. I would PM a few of the Trans sponsors on here right now.
