Will EFI Live flash my VIN in another pcm?

I'm buying another pcm for my 97 corvette and am wondering if I can flash my vin in to it so I can tune it? I'm just learning how to work this software so I don't want to take a chance on messing my original one up.

use the vin change option. i posted a more detailed description on EFI LIVE for you.

You'll need to change your VIN with the scan tool.
