one of my buddys that loves his import just ordered an electric "turbo" its not a turbo its an electric fan. It calls for 2-3lbs boost and 15-30% increase in hp. Will this really work and if it does why aren't these things flying off the shelves?

Those are fantastic. They work great. Now be sure and set up a race with him first. After you beat him, explain to him that what he bought was just an electric fan, nothing more. And laugh all the way to the upgrade store.
