Default oil pump question

ok i just recieved my melling high volum oil pump today and well is the gear/pulley thing is suppose to move around i mean i know counter clockwise and clockwise, but is it suppose to be free lik that or its suppose to be in place...

If I think you are talking about what I think you are.. yes.. the inner gear will be centered once it is on the Crank. You could be a little more descriptive or specific on you question.

oh ok thanks guys, also do u happened to know what color o ring do i use for the pick up tube? because the pump comes with a black & green one thanks in advance...

Yep, that should be freely rattling in there. Once its on the crank, it will be okay.

There should be instructions with the pump to tell you what o-ring you need.

One o-ring is required if your pick up tube has a lip/collar near the end, the other ring is required if your tube is straight.

yea i called speedinc bout it and told me to use the thicker one (green one)
