Default 4:30's or 4:56 gears for 28x12.5 e/t streets

Wassup guys, wont be using my nitrous for a while so Im wanting to swap out my 4:11 gears for a set of 4:56's or 4:30's, my 28's are too tall for my 4:11's (all motor runs)...which set of gears would yall recommend for 28" e/t streets? mods are 224 cam, stage 3+ clutch, 12bolt and bolt ons...thanks in advance

Are you sure they are too tall for the gears?
Like Gator said, what are you looking to make as far as et's and trap speeds go? Those will all be directly affected by tire height and gearing

Also, take into consideration the day the motor sees the juice, you may not want to have to swap gears again...

I turn my car to 7200 (limiter at 7400) and with all the playing around on calculators I have done it looks like 4.30 will be the best gear for me on 28's and spray. They aren't going to be as good for motor passes, but I would rather that than run out of gear when I hit the spray.

with 4.56 gears and a 28" slicks I get 131.48mph in the 1/4mile hitting the limiter at 7200rpm

hope that helps...

First, why do you want more gear? better 60? better 1/4mi E.T. I 60 foot 1.42-1.44 motor w/4.11's and a 26'' tire. Loose your cam(too wimpy) The g5x3 cam from LG-motorsports 232/236 drive just the same as your wimpy cam but will make much more power. I gained 3 tenths going from a 224 cam to the x3 cam from LG.

If your going to keep it NA and never spray again go with the 4.56's
If you plan on spraying down the road go with the 4.30's
